SleepyBunny Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Been wondering what to do with haveing over 100 computers that often needs to be reinstalled.I started by slipstreaming some basic drivers using nLite for our most common computers and it worked well. But been wondering if it will cause problems haveing several different sets of drivers for different models on the same XP disk.Added Video, Audio, Network, chipset drivers. This works on some of the computer models, but creates bluescreen during install and bootup of the system on other models. Our models used are mostly Dell: Latitude D620, D520, D531Optiplex 745, 780Vostro 3500 <- this model gets a bluescreen, its the latest model we have and added to the XP disk.Is there a better way of doing this or just another way to get it working?
cluberti Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 First, stop using nLite - it's for personal use only. Any other usage is a violation of the EULA. Next, what bluescreen is the Vostro giving specifically? Is it a 0x7B?
