[Help] How can I backup my dual boot windows 7 and XP ?

Hi,

I have a dual boot. On one Hardrive Xp is installed and on another windows 7. It work fine, but If I use my Acronis True image restore CD

to restore XP, it break my windows 7 installation. I was able to fix it withe the windows 7 repair cd.

How can I prevent this from happening next time ?

Maybye this issue is related to the mbr of the first drive ?

Yes it is related to the restore of the mbr. When you use acronis to restore your xp partition, you should only restore the partition not the mbr and don't modify the active flag on the restored partition if it wasn't before.
