janhoogeveen
Hi there,I encounter a strange problem with IE 6 and 7. From an ordinary html page I link to different pages within a pdf document.Something like: <a href="pdf.html?page=15" target="_blank">This is the page you are looking for</a>When I access the html page on a local server, the links to the pages in the pdf work OK.But when I access the very same html copied onto a cd-rom, all links direct me to the first page of the pdf.The only difference is the fact that all data are on cd instead of a server.FF doesn't have this problem.Anyone an idea?regards, Jan
cluberti
What security zone is it opening in on the web server? The CD-ROM will be opening the links in the My Computer zone, which is actually more restrictive than the Local Intranet zone (which is likely where they're opening on the web server). Also, IE behaves in specific ways when files are on a local hard disk versus removable media like a CD-ROM when in the LC zone, especially if the page doesn't have a MOTW. janhoogeveen
Thanks for your reply. The problem is that we produce this cd-rom for about a thousand students. I understand that there is no way of configuring our files in a way that students using IE will be able to access the pages of the pdf directly. Thanks again.Jan
