May 8, 201016 yr Removing Media Center from my Custom Created Windows 7 x64 Home Premium also seems to kill the Media Center Remote support. it will show up with "!" in the device manager and will refuse to install and also seems not to find any driver on the internet. Anybody else encountered this isues? Media Center is a big pile of crap taking space in my custom windows wich i don't want to keep , but the sake of using the remote for other applications seems tu get me stucked with it
May 8, 201016 yr You can grab the drivers here:http://www.win2008r2workstation.com/win2008r2/ehome-ir-transceiverDid you use vLite to create the disc? You can protect the files in question from being erased with the GUI; same with RT7 Lite. AFAIK, the drivers reside in /windows/ehome.
May 9, 201016 yr Author I used Vlite when i created it because there were no other tools available. i hope it will work. i still find it funny that it can't find the drivers with windows update wich finds drivers for almost anything.
