Custome client desktop shortcuts for every group in the domain

Hello

We have a PC lab at the school, every student given a domain account. The server OS is Windows Server 2008 standard. Clients: Windows XP SP3.

If i join every grade students acounts to a group, is it possible to set a custom desktop shortcuts for every group?

The question isn't very clear but if you want to assign a specific desktop folder (you 'll need to share it of course) to a group there is a policy (gpo) to do it.
