Guest iecepdipstick Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 hi genius members of MSFN! im having a problem with my dual boot PC.currently im running XP pro SP2(32bit) when i saw a torrent ISO of Windows 7 OS from a torrent site (i think that was kickasstorrents.com) i decided to download it to test on my rig.here's my specs (its not that powerful though):AMD Dual Core 5200+ 2.7GhzECS A770M-A v1.0 motherboard2GB Kingston ddr2 PC800 memoryATI Radeon HD3650 512 ddr2 128bit PCIe320GB Seagate SATA HDD22x DVD Samsung Burner..i also have a USB webcam & USB Bluetooth device inserted at the back.after i have mounted this windows 7 ISO on my daemon tools lite program, the installation runs smooth and i even runned some of my games(like Call of Duty 4) after installation.after 3days of smooth running, when i decided to reboot,Windows 7 starts 2 fail.nothing pops up on the restart process, its just that both my XP anf Windows 7 no longer shows up on the boot menu.my personal data is still intact.what i did is to insert my XP installation disc, run it and there! i got to my XP desktop again whith all my installed programs & games intact like nothing happen.i did this 4times thinking that i might did something wrong during the installation process but i was able to follow the installation wizard of Windows 7.im not a newbie dudes! just need some help to figure out what went wrong.before i was able to setup a dual boot XP Pro(32bit) & Vista(64bit) with no issues,or maybe the windows 7 copy i got is not that stable? any help is greatly appreciated!
