Server 2k8 - RDP - Outlook 2007 Public Calendar dif. for dif. clients

I help support customers who RDP into Windows Server 2008 and the problem is - that some people connecting to the same server sees the public calendar differently than others.

I have logged on with 3 users credentials (using run as command), and all three show events spanning 2 days, but from some of the same users who's

Outlook I log into , when they log in from their computers (to the same server) they see the Public Calendar differently than myself and

at least a couple other users, the events do not span two days.

I would have expected that anyone accessing the Public Calendar would see events the same.

Most users are local to my City and State, others are in other time zones, so time zone does not seem to be the issue.

I have checked the computer clock all are set appropriately for the time zone.

I have remoted into a couple of the users computers, and verified that the views are different for some of the people accessing the same server and Public Calendar.

The appointments are set for 12:00AM to 12:00AM

Another strange thing in the color coded calendar (header bars?) the time says 5:00AM on the left side and the right side of the bar - and I am not speaking of the subject line -

as some of them have different notes and times in them.

And another strange thing (to me) about the calendar is that some of the appointments do not show up in the month view, but do in the day or week view.

Anyone have any ideas?

I was able to find a resolution for my issue.

The time on the user's Remote Desktop profile was set to a time zone other than what most of the user had set up.

The person in Arizona was seeing his local time zone and it was affecting his view of the shared Public calendar.

By default the Remote Server Desktop does not show the clock - we went to properties (right click on blank spot on the taskbar, click properties).

Click on the "Notification Area" tab >

Under "System Icons" - it states - "Select which system Icons to always show" >

Select "Clock".

So - the time on the remote desktop / calendar is different (two hours behind) his local time zone, but he can more easily find appointments in the Calendar.

Not a perfect scenario - but this is the answer to my question.

So the RDP session seems to get the local computer's time zone - an exception was a Mac user was seeing the calendar incorrectly, his local time zone was not brought up to the RDP session -

but we were able to set the time zone on his RDP Desktop and his calendar view is correct now.
