Uninstall Office 2000 SR-1

I'm using Office 2003, however Office 2000 is still on my HD. Recently when I am using Outlook 2003, an Office 2000 pop-up requests that I insert the old 2000 CD to install a feature. I do not know what feature the pop up is referring to. I guess the big question is can I remove the Office 2000 program without harming my Office 2003 programs?
