loan divider?

I have suddenly gained an extra task bar divider! I have all the tool bars turned off but cannot get rid of one remaining divder to the immediate right of the start button. Does anyone know how to get rid of it?

The screen shot is of xpize theame but it remains regardless of what theame is displayed.

Easiest way to get rid of it is to lock your taskbar.

Technically speaking, you do have a toolbar open, the taskbar is a toolbar itself and it has a pull/grab divider that shows when the taskbar is not locked.

Arr yes, you are right. Locking the task bar takes it away...feeling rather stoopid right now!
