Office 2003 Sending attachments knocks out internet

Hi All,

This is my first time posting. Yesterday I bought a new Vaio laptop with Widnows 7 and installed Office 2003 on it. When I try to send email with pdf attachments the email won't send and the whole internet connection stops working. It is only restored when I end the office program. I am ok sending word documents just at the moment this is happening with pdf attachemnts. Any advice is much appreciated. thanks
