Default "Details" sort in Explorer?

When attaching a file or image with Googlemail, Facebook, etc, does anyone know how to get the Explorer window to show the folder contents in Details format by default? (The default is List format, which is useless for searching sub-folders or finding the most recently edited file.)

My default sort (which I've applied to all folders) is Details, but the Attachment software seems to have a mind of its own.
