hiding/changing drive letter of windows xp in windows vista on multi b

hi to all,

i have windows xp installed on my machine and have 3 partiotions as follows:

c: windows xp

d: downloads

e: movies

i wanted to try vista for a while before removing xp, so i shrunk the xp partiton and added a new partition which i installed vista on. in xp, i hid the vista partition while still retaining the other partitions as they are, still assigned as d: and e:. however, in vista, i managed to hide the xp partition, but i can't make my downloads partition d: cause it is stilled assigned to xp, and vista won't let me change it. does anyone know if this can be done?
