wmk Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 My OS is Vista Home Basic, my printer Epson Stylus CX5500. I did a reinstallation of my OS and repartitioning of hard disk. Then I reinstalled my printer using Epson CD containing the printer driver version 6.51. But what showed up in the Printer test page was version 5.16 and double-sided printing stopped working. I tried updating the driver, but version 5.16 still showed up in the test page. What got changed was the version 6.51 displayed in the Maintenance tab and the Advanced tab of the Epson Properties file. It changed to version 6.55. And double-sided printing still does not work.
xoticrox Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 1. Unhook the printer2. Goto Control Panel > Programs and Features ... Use this to completely remove all epson software, all printer drivers / software ect.. then reboot3. Goto www.epson.com and download the newest driver4. Start the installer for the printer driver, plugging in the printer only when prompted to do so.Hopefully that should take care of it.
