Unable to install windows xp

I have a problem...

My new system having 1.8 ghz celeron processor asus p5gc-mx with 1gb of ram , 160 gb of segate hard disk has a problem during windows setup.

When every i try to install windows xp by booting from cd it hang during the "Startup is starting windows"

I change hard disk, ram process but non of this work for me.. what's the problem.....??

can you guys help me...

We need to understand when setup is hanging.

XP Setup has these stages:

Text Mode - format hard drive, copy files

Setup Wizard - prompts for product key, admin pass, etc

Graphical Mode - detects network adapters, other hardware, etc

OOBE "Out Of Box Experience" - create user accounts, activate

My guess is it freezes after the setup wizard when detecting other hardware.
