Disable program and service from the startup

Recommended Posts

Try doing it the following way with a .reg-file to remove the autostart entry:

It could be also in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER", just search the registry for the right key.

I'm not sure if this removes the program from starting or just deletes the entry from "msconfig".

I cleanup the complete Autostart of programs by a regfile:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

After that step I set my wanted Autostarts (only example, don`t use it like that):

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

"CCleaner"="C:\\PROGS\\CCleanerPortable\\CCleanerPortable.exe /AUTO"
"Sysinternals Process Explorer"="C:\\SYSTEM\\system32\\taskmgr.exe /t"
