.exe files icons changed to start with visual studio

Hi,

i am using vista business edition.

I tried to open a 400 kb exe file with visual studio.now the problem is that all my icons on the desktop have changed ie it shows visualstudio icon for all the exe files and when i double ckick on them , they wont start the application.Please help me out to cure this problem.

Run sytem restore from safe mode.

Firstly do a CTRL-ALT-DEL and check in the processes Tab that The Visual Studio is not still running, if it is,. kill it.
