Need Help Sharin Desktop through wireless among laptops

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I use a HP notebook that has both WLAN card and a switch that I suppose employs LED signals when on, to connect to wireless networks in range.

The HP notebook runs on Windows XP SP2... This one is set with a wired broadband connection. I also use a wireless USB broadband when roaming.

Occasionally, I have to bring in my office's TVS laptop to home (contains XP as well). I cannot install the USB broadband on this one due to user permissions. The only way is to plug in the wired broadband into this one if I need to access Internet.

So far so good... The problem arises when I need Internet access on both computers. Though I can use the USB on my fixed system, I still wish to know if both laptops can be connected through this LED Wireless on HP computer. I tried to create one using the Wireless Network Wizard but it won't boot saying some file is missing. I had to log in to DOS and restore my system!

Any ideas here?

Thanks!
