Word 2007 User files - startup crash

Hello all,

hope somebody can help me !

I've got Microsoft Office Home and Students 2007 on Vista since November.

Yesterday, without having done anything usual, Word started to crash about 30 sec after opening, each and everytime (Same thing for Wordpad, but not for excel, powerpoint, etc.).

After having tried many things (updates, repair with the dvd, uninstall reinstall, restore point) I created another user on my laptop and in this new session, Word works well. So must be a problem with the user files.

I've looked at many thing on the registry (deleting files in Word, Data and so on in HKEY-CURRENT User\Microsoft\Office\12.0) and in AppData (renaming the template "OldNormal" the template called "Normal". Nothing works.

And I do not know what else to do !! Any ideas? thanks !

what windows version do you have installed? did you do any updates?

can you do system restore?
