W7 unattended error select your OS

Hi all.

There is something wrong with my unattended install that i do not understand.

I am using Altiris to Deploy windows 7 the same way as i deploy windows 7.

To my understanding the deployment has not changed and even the answer file's look pretty alike.

What altiris simply does is it is using the Setup.exe /Unattend:%UNATTEND%\%ID%.xml /noreboot where the %ID% is using the computer name. (this is not the part the error occures)

When setup is starting i get a popup: select the operating system you want to install, in the box is a notification: There are no images available.

It looks like it cannot find the correct windows version or something in the wim file.

i was missing something. windows 7 is now deploying smoothly using Altiris DS 6.9 Sp1

The part i missed with the RTM iso was:

Without that switch apparently setup could not find the install in the .wim or something.

For : <Key>/IMAGE/NAME</Key> you can lookup in the documentation or use firgeier vista guide to lookup the different options.
