Running other admin commands besides run as when logged in as a user.

Is there a way to do change a file/folder permissions or delete a file/folder that belongs to the administrators group from within a users account?

I'm open to any methods. Even if it involves the command line.

AFAIK there is no "act as root" (sudo) capability for Windows shell commands. (It would be great if one could use 'runas' on Explorer!)

You could runas cmd.exe as a separate user, which would allow you access to using command-line tools to modify permissions. I don't think you can shellexecute explorer windows as a separate user though.

Thanks guys. I did try running explorer.exe as admin but it didn't give me admin permissions.
