RJARRRPCGP Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 (edited) IIRC, I heard that Windows NT 4.0 was like this, where you're always required to install an older service pack before installing the service pack that came out after! XP SP2 wasn't like this. Looks like Microsoft eliminated the cumulative service pack concept with Vista SP2! Edited June 14, 2009 by RJARRRPCGP
cluberti Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 I believe this is the case, and the problem was originally that the servicing engine was changed from Vista RTM to Vista SP1, and it appears that Vista SP2 requires Vista SP1 due to the new servicing engine.
