installing xp to flash drive

hi. my hard drive is dead . I would like to install windows xp to my 4gb flash disk temporarily

. is it possible. if yes, how can i do that.

First off for USB drives your BIOS needs to support booting from USB. Then it's only possible after you edit some files on the XP CD. If you have a Compact Flash card it's a lot simpler because you can simply buy a CF-to-IDE adaptor for around USD$10.
