albator Posted May 16, 2009 Share Posted May 16, 2009 Hi I want to install Vista for the first time but withou leaving my XP.I had a dual boot but when I restore my XP image with acronis true image it broke my dual boot.The boot screen with the Vista choice is gone. My xp is install on an primary and active C: partition and Vista was on an primary and active partition (on a other physical drive) G:I have read about the mbr and the Vista BCD, but I am confuse How can I sucessfully backupthe 2 OS without broking my multiboot ?
