MS Word 2000 Forms protection

Greetings:

I am having trouble with the Forms Protection in a document. I want to be able to have text form fields AND regular "non-form" text in the same document. The problem is when I protect the form so the form fileds, check- boxes, and drop-downs will work properly, I can no longer enter general text in a "non-form" fashion. The cursor just automatically jumps to the next form field.

I know there must be a simpe setting, because I have seen a doc that works before. Please help!

Thanks

I finally figured it out...In order to "tab" inside of a text form field, you must use ctrl + tab. If you just use tab, then you shift to the next form field.
