troble with multiboot

I bought a 500 gig we hard drive with hopes of a multiboot vista xp Linux system.I used acronis true image to copy my old vista drive.then resized it giving 50 gigs to be used as xp. I installed ubuntu and partioned.vista and ubuntu work fine but I can't get xp to install iv been trying for days and reading hard used nlite to copy xp and add data driver and infra recorder to burn my ISO cd when try to install it goes thru all the motions and when I click enter to install next screen says no hard drive so what am I doing. Wrong. Thank you in advance for any help
