johnhc Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 (edited) I have found several discussions of changing the GUI setup screen background color but none for x64. At one time in the long past, I found a way to do this but cannot rediscover it and have forgotten. It seems like it was not too bad. I let it go when the results did not look too good. NLite allows blue or black, but I would like to try some more interesting colors. Can some one point me in the right direction? Thanks, John. Edited April 8, 2009 by johnhc
johnhc Posted April 12, 2009 Author Posted April 12, 2009 I have discovered that using Paint on SETUP_W.BM_, I can change the background color of the GUI setup screen, but only under the following conditions. I must set Black background to No and Classic to Yes in nLite Options. When I do, my HAL9000 GUI billboard (WINNTBBU.DL_) is gone and I get the Classic one instead. This is not what I want, so unless I hear from someone, my efforts are ended. No matter what I do, I do no not get my altered background on first boot after setup finishes. I would also like to hear from someone if this can be changed. Enjoy, John.
