bfsharp Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I am looking for a way that my users can autofill my ip address in Netmeeting dialog call box without me having to give it to them each time. I assist users all day through Netmeeting and find it very frustrating having to explain each time how to open and fill in my IP address so they can allow me to connect into their desktop. I have easily solved the Netmeeting startup issue. Instead of Strart>Run?type "conf" my users just double click a batch (cmd) file on their desktop. From there, it is sometimes a struggle just to get them to enter my IP Address...Anyone who has gone through this will know what I mean. From this point user must select Share (bottom left icon Netmeeting window), then Desktop>Share>Allow Control>Automatically accept requests... It would be a Godsend if all of these steps could be automated from a batch or vbs or other script file, but I will be happy if I could just get my IP address to fill in for them. I know what you're thinking, and yes we do have DHCP, but I have been here well over a year and a half and my machine has retained the same IP address that entire time. If it does change for some reason I will deal with it at that time, probably just making my machine have a static IP. Can anyone help here?ThanksBrian
Noise Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 You could probably do it with an autoit script. It might be "glitchy" until you work out the bugs, but it will work. Also you might be able to make a custom ADM file for this, so the settings are provided by Active Directory Group Policies.
