Hi friends,

I am trying to create a dual-boot for XP and Vista. The computer is a HP Pavilion a6658f desktop pre-installed with Vista 64.

CPU: Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz

Storage Controller: Intel ICH 8R/ICH9R/ICH10R SATA RAID Controller

XP: WinXP Professional x64 Edition OEM

downloaded driver "Intel Matrix Storage Manager" from : http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Des...12〈=eng

extracted the downloaded file and got some folders/files, among which, there are folders"driver" and "driver64"

there are the following files in "driver64":iaahci(security catalog), iaahci.inf, iastor(security catalog),iastor.inf,iastor.sys,licebse(text document), TXTsetup.OEM

nlite iaahci.inf to the install CD, after booting from CD, got the below bsod:

-----------------------------------------------

The device associated with following device driver will not work correctly on this computer: ahcix86.sys

-----------------------------------------------

then tried to nlite iastor.inf from the folder, still got bsod

tried to download from hp website and somewhere else, all got the blue screen of death for endless times, this really drive me nuts

Anyone has similar experiences? ideas? what is the right driver??

thax for help!
