Guest Frackin Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 I have read here in the forum to avoid issues with nLite I need to make sure to order the updates correctly. 1.) Question I have is I dl'd an update pack but I wanted to add some extra single updates. Does it matter if the update pack or the single updates go first? I have checked what I have against the list/changelog to make sure I didn't duplicate. 2.) In regards to nLite as long as I AM NOT going to use $OEM$ folder to install extra stuff I can DISABLE the OEM Preinstall option correct? 3.) Do I need to enable or disbale SFC?4.) Preinstall partioning - does it matter how it is set up?5.) And last -- I see good and bad things on changing the default user file path. Is this something I should even touch with nLite and change the path to a different HD (as I would really like to but don't want to bork my computer.) or just allow status quo for the sake of less corruption later? Thanks
strel Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 1. I'd put the extra updates after.2. If you do that you'll not be able to load SATA/SCSI drivers with F6 at the beggining of the setup.3. Up to you, you should know how annoying could be or how practical. I have it dissabled.4. As long as you don't remove anything you need to do this, and you make room for your needs, I don't think so.5. As long as your software uses registry to stablish paths, I don't think corruption would be a problem.
