doing a install on virtul machine slip stream sp2 and sp3 on retail XP pro version 5512 ...and keep getting this error does the setup reboots installing windows the firsr message i get is this

have done 2 other setup before the same way and never seen this before i am lost even reinstalled both nlite and virturul setup and lost on what is going on

You don't need to slipstream SP2 and then SP3, just SP3.

Not sure if this has something to do with it but since file proceeds from D:\i386\asms\..., is ASMS Compression option in Advanced Settings of Hotfix Add-ons and Updates section of nLite enabled? Maybe is causing you problems.
