Not sure if this is Java Prob but pls help

I hope that technical expert could assist me on this as I have been searching all over the net but no avail.

Recently, I have uninstalled Kapersky Internet Security from my system because the trial period has over and I was going to try bitdefender instead before choosing the right system.

However (not sure but if it is problem with Kapersky), after removing kapersky, my XP system won't boot normally and for that I booted into safe mode and found out that the registry still containing the entry. Without a doubt, I deleted the key in the registry and woila, my system was back normal.

But soon, I found out that my IE7 could not play youtube video and which I thought is the Java problem. Search the net and most said that it was the problem with the setting in ther internet security of IE. Follow the step and enabled the setting in the security option. However, it showed no improvement. Not only does if fails to load video, it even failed to displayed capcha (I got registered with this forum with firefox). This was quite inconvenience!

Later I found out that my the search function of my XP (F3) has the same prob. The search box and text fails to show (exclude the dog animation) which is impossible for me to use the search function. Later after installing Bitdefender Internet Security 2009, I found out that it also faces the same problem with the search function, - the interface is blank.

I'm not sure what's wrong with it, either java of flash or which ever.

Hope that somebody could help me on this.

It's probably not Java, but I once had problems with JavaScript. Pages would just load wrong, certain things wouldn't show up. You might consider cleaning the registry with CCleaner and see if Dial-A-Fix solves the other problems.

IE: Flash plugin needs reinstalling probably.

Search: You'll have to solicit the reg keys for the search from an XP user.

Give this a try

Hope this works. Save as an INF and right click / install.

The delreg section is the Dog Destroyer, if anyone wants to have that handy.
