Xndo Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 i have purchased avg 8.0 so I have the key for it, also I've purchased powerdvd 8 ultra, just to name a few of the software i would like to include on this install.. I have a new computer system comming in a few days and would like to build this windows install to save my brain time. I found some switches for the avg8 on the forums but no mention of a switch to put a key in I have it setup for my office07 and nerolite 9.x just needing help with the other 2... thanks
Xndo Posted March 8, 2009 Author Posted March 8, 2009 i guess I don't have to install using a slient switch.. but I did have a quesiton.. could I just create a txt file on the desk top with my keys and put in there ? how would I do that.. i could just setup wpi to run the setups and I can input my info myself.
ajua Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 You can make an SFX archive (easier) or write a CMD file that copies everything you need (in this case, the txt file with info). The SFX can be made with WinRAR, WinZIP, 7-Zip, etc. There is a topic on how to make SFX archives.
Xndo Posted March 9, 2009 Author Posted March 9, 2009 I was playing around with wpi and saw some dos commands for filecopying... didn't know if that would do it.. I just need to make the text file show up on the desktop.. so after I install it, I can just insert my keys i guess.. I think I'm going to try the switches for avg8.0free and see if it works with the pro eddtion that way I don't have to wait on doing it..... also i did do my office07 install did the 5 easy steps thing.. tested my cd I created and it didn't install... any ideas why ?
ajua Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 You need to go to the WPI forum section for help on that.
