I've installed Windows XP on my Vista computer

Hi there!

I'm sick and tired of Windows Vista, so I've installed Windows XP on my computer (Windows Vista was installed when I bought it...), using my old XP disc...

So I uninstalled Vista and installed XP, and now I can't connect to the internet (I'm connecting with cable through a hub, which works with the other computers installed).. Nothing happens at all when I plug the internet cable to the computer, and I was wondering if it's because I'm using old software on new hardware? If that is the case, what can I do about it?

Specs:

- OS: Windows XP Home SP3

- AMD Turion 64 processor

please tell if you need more information..

I'm glad to read that you upgraded to XP from Vista. ;)

Is it a laptop by any chance? Even if it's not your XP disc may not have the correct drivers for your network card. Check the Device Manager. Download the correct drivers from the manufacturers website if necessary.

If that doesn't work, it's time for Plan B. :w00t:
