Event Based Task Scheduler

In Vista we can run Task Scheduler event based, e.g., we can schedule a program to run when the PC resumes from standby. Can we tweak Task Scheduler in WinXP to do the same? Perhaps with sort of add-ins or plug-ins? Any idea?
