Funnycat
I have recently acquired a pre-slipstreamed vista sp1 dvd and I have vista without any SPs on my laptop, and my connection is too slow to download a 550mb service pack. So what I'm asking is, basically, can I install the SP1 from the DVD?
MagicAndre1981
no, you can't do this. But you can reinstall your laptop and use the new DVD. After doing this you'll have a Windows Vista with Sp1.

Make sure you backup your serial number and certificate first if it is OEM machine.http://directedge.us/content/abr-activatio...kup-and-restore
