Problems with Acer 5920g

Hello everyone,

I have an Acer 5920g with Windows Vista Home Edition 32-bit. I have had this laptop for exactly a year and it has been running fine until about 3 months ago. Since then I have faced the blue screen numerous times.

It only seems to happen when I press the button to turn my computer on after hibernation. I am computer literate but my knowledge is nevertheless very limited. Browsing on the internet to find a solution to the problem has confused me more than anything.

The error message is as such:

Could you perhaps upload the .dmp file somewhere for us to look? Also, did you upgrade any device drivers (either manually or via Windows Update) within the last 3 months (specifically, around the time the problem started occurring)?

Hi Cluberti,

Thanks for your offer to help but I think I found a solution. I had indeed comlpetely forgotten to update any of the drivers since I purchased the laptop last year. I decided to buy a programm called Driver Cure which has updated all the drivers that needed to be updated (21 in Total!). Some of the problems seem to have been resolved.

If the blue screen comes back I will post again including the dmp. file. this time.
