domain to domain Copyed files Hanging

Hi all,

I have a very odd problem.

We recently moved part of our business to a different office. Part of this process was to move all there documents over to the new Domain. Sounds simple right.....

Everything was going fine until they started to use some of their templates and old files.

The user was finding that some of the word documents hang for a lifetime before opening.

There does not seem to be any pattern.

Some of the files open fine with no problem, It is affecting more than one folder, all the templates where created in Office 2003 and are being opened in 2003. I can copy one of the "slow" files to local and then paste it back in the same folder and its fine, some have banners on and some do not.

It does seem to keep a "shadow" copy (temp) in the folder for longer than it needs (permanently)

They may have been used by a office 2007 user but I can’t confirm that.

I am completely lost, I don’t understand what’s going on!!

Please help as I am close to being strung up by my lovely users
