MS Loopback Adapter

In an effort to get some old DOS programs to print to a USB connected printer, I installed the MS Loopback Adapter as part of a workaround suggestion from HP tech support. Never got the printer working, and am wondering if there's any way I can screw up XP if I uninstall it. Thanls.

Best, Paul
