Mocau Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Hello there,I have just bought vista on ms store online and they made me download 3 files ( 1 .exe et 2 .wim ) and when I click on the .exe file it just says that the configuration of the application is not correct. What am I supposed to do with those 3 files? burn ?Thanks in advance...
MagicAndre1981 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 could you please post the error message in detail?
Mocau Posted January 1, 2009 Author Posted January 1, 2009 this application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrectIs the file corrupted? I have downloaded it 3 times...
MagicAndre1981 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 sounds like you are missing a C++ runtime. Have you installed VC 2005/2008 runtime? Please check the event log for more information.
Mocau Posted January 1, 2009 Author Posted January 1, 2009 OMG you were right C++ runtime was missing... now I can launch it I think i'm supposed to burn the files.... there are 5 folders (boot, efi, sources, support, upgrade) et 4 files ( autorun.ini, bootmgr, bootmgr.efi and setup.exe)... right?
Kotuku Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 The name of the .exe file is?? The you can do a Google for it.It is possible the OEM supplier wants to be able to boot your machine using the .wim file, but as, again, you haven't given a full name....http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/socal/archi...ed-locally.aspx
Mocau Posted January 1, 2009 Author Posted January 1, 2009 What file ? The .exe worked just fine and created a folder. I guess I should burn the folder.
