Sysprep problems

Hi everyone,

I have a physical windows server 2008 box here, very good spec and i wanted to capture it to a wim file. I ran sysprep with generalize and oobe and then booted into winpe.

I mapped a network drive and ran a image /capture which completed fine.

Now when the server boots back up it is stuck on the grey screen where it says "please wait while windows continues setting up your computer"

Does anyone know why?

I have just applied the captured WIM image to a VM and its doing the same thing

this would be sysprep running on the machine again, it should finish and bring you back to the desktop once it is completed.
