Dros Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Hi folks,I hope someone can help me out here. I recently did a fresh install of Vista Home Premium 32-bit. I've previously used 64-bit with no problems except my firewire soundcard wasn't supported. Thus the move to 32-bit.The problem is this: I can surf the Internet fine but I can't browse the Windows network and the notification icon for networking shows a red cross (see below). Also, if I try and rectify the problem by clicking on this or the 'Network' icon on the desktop (see below), things just seem to hang.In a possibly related matter, when shutting down, the process also seems to hang and I need to do a hard restart or shutdown. These are quite frustrating problems and I don't even know where to begin looking for answers. Hopefully somebody has the key.Cheers.
