Set up DSL (PPoE) connection parameters

Featured Replies

Hi everybody

I'm currently making my own unattended XP installation CD and I was wondering whether it was possible to set up the connection parameters by the means, for example, of a .reg file or NLite. The type of connection I'm trying to automatically set up is a DSL one through an ethernet modem, requiring a logon and password that my ISP gave to me. I searched the forum without finding anything. Yet, it sounds feasible to me.

Did anybody play with that? Thanks in advance

Nex

From what I read about this type of modems, the modem is the one who makes the DSL link and doesn't need any software dialer installed in the PC, so you only need to configure your unattended install to have a network interface that configures itself automatically via DHCP (use nlite for example).
