Xyonix Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 (edited) I have downloaded the wvc1cmo package to install WVC1 codec in order to play specific video files, but when trying to install this annoying piece of codec, I get the following message;"Windows Media Video 9 Advanced Profile codec requires Windows Media Format SDK version 9.5"EVEN THOUGH I actually have installed the Windows Media Format 9.5 SDK!What do I do here? Could it be that I don't have the right one? Some advice or a link to the proper driver would be appreciated . Edited November 9, 2008 by Xyonix
buckdog05 Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 I'd just try to play the video with VLC, an open-source media player that will play pretty much anything and is available for free download here:http://www.videolan.org/vlc/It's much better than Windows Media player and doesn't have annoying issues like this.Hope that helps!
