I know there is a registry tweak to reposition the Menu Bar (which I have done, so it is above the Address Bar)

The problem is this moves the Links Bar too.

If I right click and unlock the toolbars, I can expand the Links Bar and move it below the Menu Bar but I can not move it anywhere else. It appears to be married to the Menu Bar!

Is there a method to seperate the Links Bar??

I want to be able to move it seperately and place it to the side of the address bar, after having removed the search box.

So my layout would be like this:

<back arrow> <forward arrow> <address bar > <links bar>

<tabs and other buttons>

So I need to remove the search box and move the Links Bar so it is next to the address bar. Help please

U can try to use tools like Regshot 2.0.1.66 Unicode to monitor changes

Take 1st shot (before u made any changes)

Go ahead & make changes

Take 2nd shot (after u made changes)

See comparsion result and make an intelliegent guess which are the possible key to tweak

It appears that I have not suggested a possible solution in my earlier post when I tried what u want to achieve in IE7. I have no idea how to do that too. (I don't really use IE7 too)

However, just to let u know Maxthon Classic 1.6 can do that as I have it installed and validiated. (Back arrow, forward arrow, Address bar & Link bar in 1 row. It is simply drag & drop among the bars) . Hope that helps

Have you tried dragging and dropping to where you want it. I've never had a problem with adjusting the menu and link bar and they aren't married by any means.

it does take a little work sometimes but they are completely movable.
