Hello I am new to customizing XP I had vista and hated it![my main pc is now ubuntu!]

but I have an XP pc and wanted to learn how to customize it so I would like to know where I can find information on manually changing all the file type icons (eg: .mp3, .avi, .dll, .ico, .gif, .png, etc....) in XP? in the same way I have changed all the icons in the shell32.dll.

I have tried filetypesman but it doesn't let me know which .dll or .exe etc... file the icons are in???

so could anyone please help me out and tell me where the best place to post this question would be and or where to find the right info please??
