Program files not in alphabetical order

When I click on the Start/Programs menu, all my installed programs show in 4 side by side panels. The first 3 panels are in alphabetical order (I put them there), however the last panel has newly installed programs. If I try to move these new programs to the correct panel in alphabetical order, they just move back to the last panel. Strange???

What must I do to be able to get the newly installed programs to stay where I drag and drop them?

Try Start->All Programs->Right-click any 1 program->select "sort by Name" <--via context menu

Thanks...I tried that but the last panel does not sort like the other 3???

Interestingly, there are 4 folders in the last panel that do sort by alphabet but only in that panel. The folders in this last panel, for some reason, do not want to be integrated into the rest of the programs. So even though I can physically move them into alphabetical order with the other programs, they just move back to the last panel.

Very strange.
