So I tried installing Windows XP Pro 64 Bit SP1 today and I ran into a lot of problems. First I tried installing with the xp disk and after it would be done loading the files it would say "Please Wait as Windows XP Loads" in the bottom left and just loop back to loading the files. I then tried slip streaming the sata drivers and I was able to create a disk but ran into the same problem. I also tried changing ACHI (?) to IDE and that didn't change anything either. The last thing I could think of to try was to also slipstream SP2 into the installation disk. Every time I selected the .exe it would extract in nlite but then I would get an error asking me to check to make sure 2 things are being followed. I don't remember exactly what they were, but I was pretty sure I was doing it right. Any advice?

Ok, some updates:

1.) Tried installing the XP 32 Bit SP2 that I have and it got past the loading windows stage to where I need to press enter to continue installing etc,

-Successful, but I don't really want to install the 32 Bit version

So, it looks like it has something to do with installing the 64 Bit OS. I ordered my cd's from e-academy (Colleges partner with Microsoft to get free software). So, any idea what's going wrong or what needs to be changed?

I had the same problem, there is a way to solve this, you have to go to bios and then boot menu, you have to change the setup priority there, first one should be hdd, second one should be dvd, when you change the order, that should take care of the problem.

It might be late for you but hopefully this helps someone.
