MS updates, BITS, and more...

[MP_handler]

my BITS service is off and cannot be restarted, and it's affecting MS updates. when i try to restart BITS i get error code 193: 0xc1. i have searched high and low for the last few days looking for a fix. also when i try and open Event Viewer i get another error saying MMC Snap-In cannot be created, same thing with Task Schedular.

oh, when i click on BITS properties while in Services i see that Path to Executable as C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs . is this correct?
