I am trying to install active directory automatically on windows 2000 server using the command

dcpromo /adv /answer:%systemdrive%\Answer.txt

While installing DNS it prompts for inserting windows 2000 server CD. I dont knw what is wrong with this answer file.

please help me anybody

DNS isn't installed by default on a Windows 2000 Server, so you would need the CD regardless of whether you do a manual installation or an unattended installation. B)

hi FAT

I have put all dns files in <CDROM>\I386 . Just I need to click OK while prompting. why it is prompting without looking to CD
