badspell68 Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 (edited) XP ProfessionalYahoo messenger and AIM can connect to the outside world. But, I am unable to get a web browser to connect to any external sites?Really weird! Edited September 1, 2008 by badspell68
Lance979 Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 What is the error you are getting? Page can't be displayed maybe? This is Google's IP, http://72.14.207.99/ past it into the address bar and see if you get a page. If you do then your problem is most likely your DNS. Try flushing the DNS cache. Close any open browsers. Click start \ Run and type CMD and hit enter. Type ipconfig /flushdns and hit enter. This will clean out the DNS Cache. Now open your browser and see if you have access.
badspell68 Posted September 1, 2008 Author Posted September 1, 2008 (edited) No change. Error is "Failed to Connect"Yahoo messenger still works fine. Edited September 1, 2008 by badspell68
